Who needs the Loire Valley when we have the Wye Valley in Monmouthshire? This fantastic organic chardonnay has notes of lemon and ripe green apple, alongside hints of honeysuckle and vanilla. Fermented in stainless steel and oak barrel, then aged on gross lees (the sediment that forms naturally in the wine, usually removed soon after fermentation) for a minimum of 10 months.
Ancre Hill uses traditional biodynamic and organic viticultural practices, with no external intervention or manipulation in the winemaking process. The wines express the terroir of ancient mudstone and sandstone soils, with unique character and natural flavours.
