Zalmon, the vegan alternative to smoked salmon, is made from ribbon-cut carrots and four supporting ingredients to create a deliciously satisfying flavour. Use Zalmon on canapés, in a creamy pasta sauce or on a bagel with sliced avocado.
Ingredients: carrot, rapeseed oil, smoke liquid (water, smoke), salt, citric acid.
Zalmon was created in Bethnal Green at the café Sazzy and Fran, to go with their cream cheese bagels. It quickly became their best-selling item so in 2020, when lockdown struck, they decided to launch Zalmon to a larger audience. It's packed in glass jars and even the labels are plastic-free!
