Classic salted caramel with the hint of a smoky campfire, thanks to Halen Môn's smoked sea salt and smoked water. Great with ice cream and brownies, or as a topping for cheesecake.
Ingredients: Butter (milk), golden syrup, brown sugar, sugar, double cream (milk), Halen Môn smoked water, Halen Môn Smoked Sea Salt PDO, natural caramel extract, stabiliser: xanthan gum.
Halen Môn salt is hand-made at Menai Bridge on the Isle of Anglesey. After passing through two natural filters (a mussel bed and a sandbank), the salt water is gently heated in a vacuum so it boils at a low temperature. A very salty brine is created, which is then put into shallow crystallisation tanks for the salt crystals to form.
