Pefriog is the Welsh word for Sparkling. This is a young, fresh style of sparkling pinot noir with around 18 months lees ageing - a first of its type for Ancre Hill. A biodynamic Blanc de Noirs made with zero dosage. Very crisp with notes of apple pith, melon and pear-skin, and an earthy and mineral edge.
Ancre Hill uses traditional biodynamic and organic viticultural practices, with no external intervention or manipulation in the winemaking process. The wines express the terroir of ancient mudstone and sandstone soils, with unique character and natural flavours.
